Our Team

Kody Schuyler, Chief Executive Officer
Kody Schuyler is ex-military. Trained in the Navy Seabees both in the states and overseas. Kody's experience spans all phases of large-scale site operations and safety oversight for many years. In this business, the need for "on the job safety" cannot be overstated.

Erik LaForge, Chief Operations Officer
Erik LaForge is also ex-military. He served for many years in the Navy Seabees, learning his trade in the states and overseas on projects in Italy, Spain, and Guam. His training and dedication allows him to focus on utilizing the principles of military precision, project coordination, and discipline to organize and supervise the men and equipment necessary to get the job done.

Willie Castle, Project Foreman
Willie Castle is one of our project foreman and was also trained in the Navy Seabees. Kody, Erik and Willie have performed on projects together in all kinds of extreme weather conditions and always under strict time constraints. From the blistering heat and alternating torrential rainfalls of tropical climates to the subzero temperatures of Alaska, they have performed work involving digging through coral and volcanic rock in Guam as well as dealing with thawing permafrost in the Arctic. Work on these missions have cemented a solid foundation of teamwork and project leadership and coordination.

Corey Schneider, Recycling Coordinator
Corey Schneider is our resource expert. It is his job to save time and money on disposal items, as well as plan the crushing operations for concrete and asphalt re-use. His expertise includes the proper handling and disposal of asbestos, lead and other hazardous materials. Whether Empire plans to re-cut steel I beams for resale, scrap metals, or mill 100 year old wood beams into floor boards for upscale new homes, Corey knows the best methods to maximize recycling and re-use of demolition materials.

Gary Irwin, R.A., P.P, Engineering Manager
Gary Irwin is a registered architect and planner with lots of experience on large buildings, facilities, and sites. EMPIRE has found that the best way to understand how to efficiently dismantle a structure is to understand how it was originally built. To that end, Gary's experience and training is utilized to review ideas before deciding on a project work plan and schedule.
