Kody Schuyler is
ex-military. Trained in the Navy Seabees
both in the states and overseas. Kody's
experience spans all phases of
large-scale site
operations and safety oversight for many years.
In this business, the need for "on the
job safety" cannot be overstated.
Erik LaForge, Chief Operations
Officer
Erik LaForge is also ex-military. He
served for many years in the Navy
Seabees, learning his trade in the
states and overseas on projects in
Italy, Spain, and Guam. His training and
dedication allows him to focus on
utilizing the principles of military
precision, project coordination, and
discipline to organize and supervise the
men and equipment necessary to get the
job done.
Willie Castle, Project Foreman
Willie Castle is one of our project foreman and
was also trained in the Navy Seabees.
Kody, Erik and Willie
have performed on projects
together in all kinds of extreme weather conditions and
always under strict time constraints.
From the blistering heat and alternating
torrential rainfalls of tropical
climates to the subzero temperatures of
Alaska, they have performed work
involving digging through coral and
volcanic rock in Guam as well as dealing
with thawing permafrost in the Arctic. Work on these
missions have cemented a solid
foundation of teamwork and project
leadership and coordination.
Corey Schneider, Recycling
Coordinator
Corey Schneider is
our resource expert. It is his job to
save time and money on disposal items,
as well as plan the crushing operations
for concrete and asphalt re-use. His
expertise includes the proper handling
and disposal of asbestos, lead and other
hazardous materials. Whether Empire
plans to re-cut steel I beams for resale,
scrap metals, or mill 100 year old wood
beams into floor boards for upscale new
homes, Corey knows the best methods to
maximize recycling and re-use of
demolition materials.
Gary Irwin, R.A., P.P, Engineering
Manager
Gary Irwin is a registered architect and
planner with lots of experience on large
buildings, facilities, and sites. EMPIRE
has found that the best way to
understand how to efficiently dismantle
a structure is to understand how it was
originally built. To that end, Gary's
experience and training is utilized to
review ideas before deciding on a
project work plan and schedule.
